Baltimore psych-rock duo, Weekends, recently released Acoustic Tape Vol. 1 via Friends Records. The tape is a collection of 17 songs recorded in pieces over the past four years. If you grabbed a copy of the Psychedelic Mice cassette we did with the band a few years back, you’ll recognize some of the track titles on this latest release. Weekends re-imagines itself with these four-track recordings without losing a bit of the psych, drone and surf, reworking their past, adapting old songs and even including acoustic versions of a few tracks from their upcoming record New Humans.
Acoustic Tape Vol. 1 will be available through Friends Records in cassette-form in late January and is up for download on the Weekends Bandcamp.
