It's a rainy day here in the Northeast and nothing can make us feel as lazy and tired as two brand new, softly-recorded tracks from The White Bark Pine. As we told you a few weeks ago, Public House Sound Recordings of Chicago has taken to releasing two singles from bands on their digital label while recording them in their home studio. We had an offering from Landmarks then, but now we've been given a delivery from NY/CA group The White Bark Pine, who happened to swing by the Public House studio as they were playing shows across the country. They recorded two sleepy tracks, “Smell That Wind”, and an often-forgotten song by The Band called “Twlight”. Listen to the singles below and wash away the last traces of morning sleep while enhancing your rainy day blues.
