Angel Eyes, “Flicked Bottle Tops”

Angel Eyes is the moniker of Melbourne-based solo musician, Andrew Cowie. His sophomore release, Vice to Vice, is his first on the cassette and record label Moon Glyph, and his second overall. Vice to Vice is Moon Glyph's first release in 2012, and it fits right in with the label's experimentalist vision. Angle Eyes' track “Flicked Bottle Tops” is a laid back, atmospheric jam that swirls around in melody until Cowie's voice emerges, adding to the wave-like pattern of the song. Described by his label as creating “slow-mo codeine dreams” with his music, Cowie is affective at creating a feeling similar to the soothing mysterious lull of a mild painkiller with this first preview of Vice to Vice. The record comes out March 6.
