Berserktown 3 lineup

West coast harsh noise and punk fest Berserktown has announced the initial lineup for it’s 2016 incarnation, returning to Los Angeles after a one-year hiatus to Orange County in 2015. Set to take place at the Teragram Ballroom on August 12-14, the lineup features a familiar array of Ascetic House and Sacred Bones devotees, with some special guests performing rare sets.

Berserktown began in 2014 as a collaboration between the forces behind Church on York and East 7th St. and occurred at the two-story Los Angeles compound Los Globos. Last year, it migrated to the OC—a move that appeared to adversely impact turnout and, among other factors, inspired oppositional gigs in Los Angeles. In other words, returning to LA is a good look for the “left of center” fest.

Among the announced, Psychic TV will be on hand performing Force The Hand of Chance in full, Swedish noise-rock outfit Brainbombs will be making their first US appearance, Belgian proto-punks The Kids, and Inge Copeland will both be making rare live appearances, and Ana Curra from Madrid post-punk legends Paralisis Permanente will be performing the band’s classics.

Also slated to perform are Powell, Destruction Unit, Croatian Amor, Pop. 1280, Hank Wood & The Hammerheads, Gorilla Angreb, Container, Marshstepper, Murean Humanos, Cold Showers, Rezzett, Personable, Rixe, Urochromes, Drapetomania, Honey, Vial, Jason Lescalleet, Nandas, Cold Beat, Angels In America, Horoscope, Criminal, Chain of Flowers, CC Dust, First Hate, Belgrado, La Misma, Wall, Drab Majesty, Warthog, Muerte, Mommy, Cheena, Shopping, and Caja De Ritmos.

Three-day passes are now available, with tickets for individual days also available.
