While smaller Bernie Sanders fundraisers have become a regular occurrence within the Brooklyn DIY scene, no official connection had yet to be made between the presidential candidate’s campaign and the community in America’s current cultural epicenter… (wait for it)… until now!
On January 5 and 6, Baby’s All Right will be hosting a Bernie Sanders fundraiser of epic proportions, and not just because this election will have epic ramifications. With performances both nights, the list of featured guests reads like a who’s who of Brooklyn artists + friends, including Frankie Cosmos, Jana Hunter, Cass McCombs, MAS YSA, Will Sheff of Okkervil River and many more. The event will also feature “special guests” each night and talks by representatives of the Creative Workers union and the Working Families Party, among others.
All of the proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to Bernie Sanders for President, and like most of Sanders’ fundraising efforts, entry is on a (semi) sliding scale, with ticket donations ranging from $30 to $150. For tickets and a full list of performers, head to the Bernie Sanders 2016 website.
