Now a whole new generation will find out what it’s like to be cool… like dat. Having already announced performances at Pitchfork Fest and Sasquatch! earlier this year, seminal hip-hop trio Digable Planets have made known what had been widely assumed: They’ll be hitting the road this summer.
The original lineup of Mary Ann “Ladybug Mecca” Vieira, Craig “Doodlebug” Irving, and Ishmael “Butterfly” Butler—aka Shabazz Palaces—will reconvene for a summer tour that includes stops at major festivals and clubs, with the promise of “more to come.” We sure hope so, because there’s no New York show listed.
