The Brooklyn Museum just announced an open call to musicians, bands and producers of all kinds to create and submit an original score to accompany the Jane and David Walentas Fountain, located in front of the museum. That includes work that is creatively inspired by water and work that isn't necessarily water-based—there are no rules other than probably to err on the side of Safe-For-Work. Participants should email submissions (via soundcloud or yousendit, by July 30 at the latest) to adult.programs@brooklynmuseum.org with the subject line “Score the Fountain.” The public unveiling of finalists' compositions will take place Thursday, August 14 at 6:30 p.m. in front of the fountain.
