The Zombies-worshipping modern masses are in for a rare treat: Trouble In Mind records is putting out a reissue of the relatively obscure psych-pop album, The Further Adventures of Charles Westover by Del Shannon, whose more famous song “Runaway” holds its spot in the Great American Songbook. This lesser-known work features the melodically haunting track “Gemini”, which the label has just shared on Soundcloud. Upon its release, the album received critical acclaim but was mostly a commercial flop, perhaps making it destined for indie reissue a half-century later.
