Streaming now on Soundcloud is the world's longest echo, which peaks at 1 minute and 12 seconds, and was recorded in an oil storage complex at Ichindown in Scotland. Trevor Cox, a professor of acoustic engineering at Salford University, fired a pistol in the complex and beat the previous record for longest echo by a full minute.
