It was almost a year ago that Screaming Females took time off its hectic touring schedule to play our Party With Tables – a show that feels like a relic now that the Brooklyn Yard is no more. Power Move put them on everyone's radar. Hopefully Castle Talk will be the big pay off for Screaming Females. The straight rock anthem of “I Don't Mind It” should thrust the females into the company of Best Coast as indie-kids on the cusp of breaking through the basement ceiling into Times Square to kick it with MTV VJs – do they still have those?
We're hoping Screaming Females continue into the path of hanging out with dinosaurs and hop on a The Breeders tour after its extensive Fall solo tour.
