There have been some pretty decent goals
so far this season, but nothing quite like what Wayne Rooney dished up
on Saturday. Rooney, Manchester United's human/bulldog hybrid
superstar, put an insanely acrobatic overhead kick in the net late in
Saturday's Manchester derby, all but killing Manchester City's hopes
of making a run at the Premier League title. It's a picture perfect
strike, made even more amazing by the fact that Nani's cross took a
slight deflection on the way to Rooney's upside down foot.
City's loss makes it look more and more like a two horse race at the top of the table between United and Arsenal, who kept the pressure on by beating Wolves 2-0.
