Merrill Garbus, who is celebrating her birthday today (Happy birthday, Merrill!), announced that she'll be releasing her third album in May, the playfully formatted Nikki Nack. After some time off, during which Garbus produced an enlightening essay on rhythm in Haiti for The Talkhouse, Garbus is back with her first record since 2011's w h o k i l l.
Nikki Nack will release through 4AD on May 6. Garbus will support the record in a short tour that begins in Los Angeles, dates for which are below. For a taste of what is to come, stream a megamix of the record's songs below.
