FREE classical: MIVOS Quartet at Manhattan School of Music, Miller Recital Hall, 120 W. Claremont Ave at Seminary row (W. 122). 7:30pm.
The MIVOS Quartet is Olivia De Prato & Joshua Modney, violins; Victor Lowrie, viola; Isabel Castellvi, cello; also featuring Kjersti Kveli, Soprano, on one piece. This is the new ensemble's first full program and they'll be playing there way straight across the 20th century. Should be a good selection:
Anton Webern, Langsamer Satz (1905)
Béla Bartok, String Quartet No. 3 (1926)
Tan Dun, A Sinking Love (1994) for voice and string quartet
Wofgang Rihm, String Quartet No. 4 (1980/81)
