For Los Angeles based Young Creatures, they’re navigating the way of living in the present– most recently through their shoe-gazey “The Future Is Finally Now.” Off of their upcoming sophomore album, bearing the same name, the three-piece creates glimmery surf rock, inducing images of dive bars and sunsets. Members Mike Post (vocals/guitar/keyboards), Michael Escalante (drums/percussion) and Andrew Gleason (guitar/bass/vocals) bring a fresh take to indie rock. They’re proud to be a DIY band and recorded and mixed the upcoming release at Mike Post’s own MooseCat Recording studio in LA.
