On Thursday, May 29th, Providence, Rhode Island's own Downtown Boys played their first headlining show in Brooklyn at Shea Stadium with Purchase, NY's Nine of Swords, Ontario's TV Freaks and our own Arm Candy.
Downtown Boys had the crowd worked into a frenzy pretty much from the word go and it was the absolute best we'd ever seen a cold crowd react to them. By the time they closed with Sham 69's “If the Kids are United” nearly everyone had been on stage or shouted into the microphone. It was pure, wonderful chaos.
