What is happening here: Kathryn is leaving for the summer to work at a camp. Last year, her going away party involved a performance from the Beets in an empty floor of her apartment building. This year, it involved this amazing huge back garden at her new place, the debut (only?) performance of her folk vocal group Butt Fractal [Ed: Please do not break up, so that we may print this band name another time], and a set from hot Nirvana cover band the Kurtsies, who also included some songs from their side project the Gutsies. Then some other people grabbed instruments. Everyone played right in front of this entirely abandoned building that is the next-door neighbor.
