HTRK, Tropic of Cancer at Public Works SF

Post Author: , Jenz

HTRK on their first U.S. tour engulfed SF's Public Works in a fog machine haze of encircling visuals and washes of blue light. With a bit of synthesizer warm up from Tropic of Cancer; the stage was set for a performance that turned the dark, grief stricken wonder of Work(work, work) into a multimedia experience of sensory and evocative yet complicated emotions. Jonine Standish's breaths on “Eat Yr Heart” lingered in the air like disco ball cubes while Nigel Yang's thundering “Synthetik” bass plume sequencing and manequin-make-out visualse continue to haunt and entice.
