LA based garage rock act Blonde Summer brings out a good vibes only kind of ethos in their new video for the song “Beer On Ice.” With a lazy beach day as a backdrop, we see frontman Chris Pope mess around with a cast of yetis, robots and gross tv dinners. In “Beer On Ice,” Pope sings about someone he’s clearly attracted to, using equally laid back rhymes and descriptors that talk about “that new hairdo” and “looking nice.”
The video for “Beer On Ice,” is tailor made for the band’s overall sonic aesthetic. It’s a video that will make you laugh and leave satisfied. Blonde Summer makes good punk infused music for slackers, the kind of track you’d want to put on a playlist for your crush, which makes this a perfect song to head bang along to on Valentine’s Day.
