Reed Juenger is an active player in Beat Connection, but his fancy for energetic production needed a secondary outlet which he calls Dutty Wilderness. In December of last year he debuted his solo work with the free mixtape Sudden Vacation, a collection of break-beat compositions that is as much inspired by Dilla's "Airworks" as it is the production of Star Slinger or TNGHT.
For IntoTheWoods' Carsick series, Juenger rode shotgun in a classic Cadillac with his sequencing equipment wired to the system. An impressive feat for a car that still has the cigarette lighter option. The crew and Juenger took the back roads while he played "21st Century Teardops" live to the vast woodlands and dark tunnels that burrow through the mountains.
