Austin inhabitants who call themselves Darkbird, is a solid Rock and Roll group who have recently gained themselves some serious attention from many music venues and radio stations. The members include Kelly Barnes (Vocalist/Songwriter), Damien Howard ( Lead Guitarist), Chris Spencer (Bass Guitar), Brian Cole (Keys) and Ethan Yeager (Drums). The bands first single called “Poison Arrows” has gained the popularity of their many Texan Fans. Following up on their second single release “All There Is” featured a music video, directed by the well-known filmmaker John Valley. One of the biggest inspirations for Darkbird is the wonderful Annie Lennox.
“Bad Self” is the ultimate rock opera musical. Just listen to the track once or watch the official music video, you will be sucked into the world of Darkbird instantly. If a rock band were to ever miss that last puzzle piece to complete the sound, Kelly Barnes would be the woman to desperately look for.
