In a creative world consistently shrouded in darkness and icy malaise, it's nice to see a video that feels stimulating, cohesive, and vibrant to indulge in. With the delivery of Dirty Art Club's "Hemlock", images screen over faces that then liven them up and make for eerie, upsetting interpretations of the face before. It's a gorgeous video, shot with the laid-back pacing of the instrumental track in mind, making the viewer feel simultaneously at ease and at odds. It's a video that convinces the viewer that Dirty Art Club is truly living up to its name.
Dirty Art Club's new LP, Vermillion, is out now through Phonosaurus Records.
