La Bête Blooms, “Breaking In”

Post Author: Michael Brummett

UK post-punk junkies, La Bête Blooms, have conjured a powerful, guitar driven single, with “Breaking In”. Roughly translated as “The Beast Blooms”, the four piece of Daniel, Jack, John, and Louisa feel truly in their prime. Based in Hull, England, the group champion a smoothed out, yet experimental sound.

Glimpses of steam punk art and visualized reverberations accent a soundscape that can’t help but stick with you. An interpersonal dialogue quipping, “You’ve said it once, don’t say it again / True love means we’re more than friends” edges out the single with a relatable tone. As a whole, “Breaking In” and La Bête Blooms seem to have a finger on the pulse of their creation, and really run away with it.

“Breaking In” is on their EP I Know It’s Nothing, which comes out on Feb. 3rd, 2017. It’s currently available for preorder, and you can find the guys on Facebook.
