Guardian Alien is a band that comes with their own belief system, along with their record. One of the main things the members talk about (via Twitter and other outlets) is that extra-terrestrials have already landed. They are here, on Earth, and they and benevolent; the only issue is that humans are not looking for them in the right way. This concept is clearly extrapolated in this video by Greg Fox, drummer of the group, who simply films himself traveling through the wide and endless tunnels of MTA New York City Transit, looking through the prism of the front window of the modern trains. In the darkness between the stations, we see the vague lights of a UFO, and then we arrive back into each portal of our man-made life, stop for a minute, and then continue to where we can observe the markers of alien life on Earth clearly – if we just decide to watch for it.
Guardian Alien's "See the World Given to a One Love Entity", their Thrill Jockey debut, lands (sorry) on July 24. In the meantime, catch them on tour with Starring and others nationwide.
