Doldrums remix Grimes' “Crystal Ball”

Doldrums is Airick Woodhead

Here's a slithery rework of Grimes' “Crystal Ball” by Doldrums (a.k.a. Airick Woodhead) that's genetically mutated from the original (video for that below), with extra percussive limbs and an extra organism layering male vocals into the mix.

Grimes, “Crystal Ball” (Doldrums Remix)

If you're unacquainted with Doldrums, count him/it as a housemate with members of DD/MM/YYYY and as a musical style that caters in a similarly eclectic and frenetic mass of rockist fusions, though one that veers harder towards the dark and haunted. We drooled over his VHS album from about a year ago, and the newish We Are Busy Bodies 7-inch track “Euphoria” takes a different tack than those haunting, fractured vidoes, boosting the vocals up high and proud.
