Brooklyn's Junk Science preps third album on Definitive Jux Records
The first single from Junk Science's new album A Miraculous Kind of Machine is called “Running Shoes,” a complex song with opposing, but connecting ideas. One half of Junk Science, Baje One said, “On one hand, running shoes are empowering, they allow you to move, to get to new places, like wings. On the other hand, running shoes could be what you use to escape from reality: drugs, alcohol, sex, violence, etc.”
Written shortly after Barack Obama's historic election, Baje One and producer Snafu felt the sentiment of the song captured, “the crossroads, the Ides, the night before something new. A song for the brief intermission.”
