David Berman, or, Bermie, as I refer to him in my sleep, is moving on out of the musical career he's forged under the Silver Jews moniker for a couple decades, for fear of seeming the “careerist.” That places the reunion festival appearances soundly in the 2019-2023 area. That's right, in the future.

From a Drag City message board topic entitled Silver Jews End-Lead Singer Bids his Well-Wishers Adieu:

I guess I am moving over to another category. Screenwriting or Muckraking.

I've got to move on. Can't be like all the careerists doncha know.
