Battles are putting out one of those EPs that are “for the fans”. It's a classy move in that it's an EP in the classical sense: two tracks, period. On the other hand, it's yet another collection of remixes. Featuring two remixes of Tonto (by Four Tet, The Field along with the original and a live track) and two versions of Leyendecker (by DJ EMZ and another live track), put it on repeat and the collection's perfect for hours upon hours of robot sex.
The EP will also include a DVD featuring Tonto, the making of Tonto, the sweat buckets used during the making of Tonto, Tonto the dog, Tonto the ominous, shiftless spirit that haunts you at every track turn, Tonto as wow, what are you doing with your life, Tonto as picking your nose and sleeping until noon, and Tonto as the video for their single Atlas.
