Valentine's Day Mix

Maria Sherman

Strawberry Switchblade

Valentine’s Day, like the prom, serves as a destination: milestones cloaked in the weird reminder that no matter how alone you feel, other people feel the same (or you’re popular and your life is amazing, whatever.)

Thank god we get some adorably sappy pop songs out of the date (and emotion, whatever) or holy hell, what are we doing? And while love rules and hate rules simultaneously, and more often than not, without opposition, I thought I’d make a mix that travels through love, heartbreak, and self-love. Go fuck yourself (literally).
