Introducing A.L. Day who arrives on the scene with the sentimental & ghost-vaping cruiser “Myrror” that reflects with the introspective glances & observations of eternal evening. Based out of Brighton, UK; Adam Day’s sound is something that sounds like it could have been lifted from the dusty southwest trails of the states where pensive moods & thoughtful modes carry on deep into the dark drapes of night.

With cover art to match the feel of “Myrror”; A.L. Day depicts the view from the driver’s perspective of driving a Mercedes with only the projected headline beams to guide them. “Myrror” creates the lonely feel of those long road trips of aimless errands & impetus where ruminated feelings & replayed scenarios loop & repeat ad nauseum where the heart searches the wastelands of consciousness that sort out regrets from the desires that remain.

Describe how you found your inner songwriter & tunesmith.

I’m not sure I’ve found it yet. That’s the thing about writing music is I’m never quite content with leaving it where it is. It always brings me back and there’s always something else to say or somewhere new to take it

What sorts of intimate & personal reflections informed the gentle burn & simmer of “Myrror”?

Well sometimes when I’m writing songs It’s not immediate what it is I’m writing about and I try and stay in that place as long as possible. Sometimes when you become aware of what it is your writing about you can kill the truth in it and MYRROR was one of those songs. Looking back at it now it seems like I’m trying to get away from myself but I couldn’t.

What arts lately have inspired you creatively?

I don’t try and analyse what inspires me to write or what triggers that I don’t know why. In think in some ways I want to protect it and not knowing means I can’t tamper with it. I don’t think I could look at a sculpture or something like that and be moved enough to write about it.

Other local events & artists from Brighton that are pretty amazing?

There’s always a lot of interesting things going on in Brighton. There’s an Art agency that have the rights to display and sell paintings Bob Dylan has done and I kind of stumbled across it the other day. They’re introducing some more recent paintings on the 5th November so I’ll probably check that out.

Next big moves for A.L. Day?

Im just taking it song by song now so hopefully people like MYRROR and if they want to hear more then I’ll put another song out

Hopes for 2017?

Musically I guess I’d like to put a few more songs out that I’ve written and see where that takes me.
