Sunflower Bean’s Week in Pop
Playing Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg tonight, Sunflower Bean dropped their following Week in Pop guest selections:
Ulrika Spacek, “Lady Godiva’s Operation” (Velvet Underground cover)
I love this band. And I fucking love this cover. It was one of those things that you put on and instantly gives you a smile.
Cate Le Bon, “Are You With Me Now”
We have been obsessed with Cate Le Bon on the last couple of tours and this song would more often then not start our day.
Jane’s Addiction, “Been Caught Stealing”
I have only just found this song and I’m really glad that I did. What a time to be alive…
Suicide, “Ghost Rider”
RIP Alan Vega. This song is like proto-every thing to ever happen ever punk.
Pure X, “Heaven”
If heaven was music it would be Pure X.
Fat White Family, Live at Saint Vitus 2016
We played a festival in Poland with Fat White Family two days before this. Got to catch there set and it gave us some reassurance that they are the best band in the world.
