Pangs
As the entire independent world stands with Bandcamp in full support of right for all trans peoples; it is our pleasure & privilege to present the world premiere of Pangs’ new single “Next to Me” where all proceeds today will be given to donated to the nonprofit Transgender Law Center. The Nashville, Tennessee groups continues to prove themselves as one of the world’s greatest pop crews as Lindsay, Nick & Will continue to reshape what we consider to be the most infectious ear worms imaginable.
“Next To Me” invites the listener to join the Pangs trio on an inclusive adventure where the experience of everything that is human & natural streams sweetly & serenely like the assuaging sounds of rippling & trickling brook. Pangs set the song up with a wealth of pronounced percussion that accentuates guitar strums that back up Lindsay’s delivery that exalts the pop-perfect zap of the group’s signature synths that strike with all the right pop stuff. Allusions to listening to one’s own heartbeat & instincts provides cause for the group’s own reiterations of emphasizing the importance of believing in one another (without petty judgments & the like) as the trio exhibits one of their most exciting singles yet. Pangs introduced their righteous, freedom-fighting new single with the following exclusive introductory preface:
We were excited when we discovered that Bandcamp is doing another benefit—this time for the trans community. One reason is that there needs to be more positive action like this taken by companies that have the ability to do so. Especially in this current climate where there’s a strong force against progress. The other reason is that we had a really appropriate song to donate ourselves! Lyrics to the song “Next To Me” can be found on our Bandcamp page. Sometimes you wonder when the right time is to put something out there and it just presents itself. Dig. It.
