Romania’s Akim# has been producing some incredibly stellar music for two full decades. A staple in the Bucharest electronic scene, his work crosses genres in a very brilliant and unique way. His latest work – the Phosphene EP – will be released on vinyl this month and digital in October, and we’ve got the premiere of his track “Tiny Reminders” to give you a taste of what to look forward to.
Beginning quietly, as if you’re somewhere near an ocean on a clear, summer night, listening to the chirps of bugs while the stars span above you. The sounds that come in make you feel as though you could actually be part of a slow motion movie montage, and that’s certainly something we would love to be a reality. It’s both a great vibe out backtrack, as well as something you can move to in a club late at night. “Tiny Reminders” serves as a reminder to listen to the gorgeous layers of sound that exist around us, no matter how small or seemingly unimportant. Music is everywhere.
