On the first single released from Flagland's forthcoming third record, a steady balance of grungy aggression and unhinged quietly-creeping emotion meets somewhere in the middle as lead guitarist Kerry Kallberg examines a “Comfortable Life”. On the second single, we see an entirely different brand of musicianship from the band—more subdued this time and notably poppier, “It's Your Time” is a certainty that Love Hard will contain multitudes. The track reflects of the intuited genius of David Bazan and even bedroom darlings like Dear Nora, as it shows the group working straight-forward garage-pop with ease.
