Former Craft Spells drummer Peter Michel (aka Hibou) is slated to release his debut full-length in 2014, and its first single, the bubbly, sweet “Hide Away”, reveals Michel's mastery of pop songwriting. In a time when reverence for short-and-cropped tracks is at its height, Hibou manages to make a slow-built number feel like it flashes past, utilizing both Real Estate-heavy reverb and dreamy, Avalanches-style voiceovers.
