Hot Panda, “Language”

Post Author:

Fresh from the release of Hot Panda's third full-length Go Outside is our exclusive premiere of the album cut “Language”. Framed by the tense rhythm guitar hop, buttressed by strings with a welcomed brass cameo, the music moves like pensive thoughts while the indie strum keeps the mood light.

Lead singer-songwriter Chris Connelly sings descriptions of voices seeking perfect harmony, talking and sounding out new words, learning the language of another while a nearby photograph speaks more answers than can be verbally expressed in this song. Like the Vancouver group's dystopian tales of draconian interests and new technologies on “Future Markets“, Hot Panda grapples with the communication breakdowns that cloud our most beloved connections with all those things lost in translation that make close loved ones feel far away.
