Philadelphia hair rockers, Hound, are comprised of the heavy trio that is Perry Shall (a household name in the Philadelphia community), Chris Wilson (Ted Leo and the Pharmacists) and Collin Mcginus (None More Black). With a band made up of Jeff the Brotherhood’s art guy, a member of punk rock legend Ted Leo’s band and a guy from the band named after a Spinal Tap reference, it is no surprise that their first single, “Little One”, blows your head straight out of your ass. The best representation I can give for the track is that scene in Back to the Future where Marty literally blows his head out of his ass(not actually literally). Or maybe even something more along the lines of this.
Either way, “Little One” is an explosion of 70’s hair metal and new found garage rock which is sure to please anyone who’s hair is longer than their shoulders.
Hound’s debut album Out of Time will be out November 28 via SRA Records. Along with the album, you can order a special package that comes with a T-shirt, button, sticker and a sick black light poster. You can stream the first single “Little One” below and pre order the album here.
