Similarities can be drawn between G-Sides' sound courtesy of Huntsville's Block Beattaz and Main Attrakionz cache of cloud producers (Clams Casino, L.W.H. & Julian Wass, Friendzone), as well as the breed of rap each crew presents. The sounds are dark, ethereal and murky, which compliments each crews “grew up hustling, now we're doing better” mentalities. Although, G-Side is more on the rap is hustle tip, than the younger Mondre Man and Squadda B with Squadda intending to drop a mixtape early 2012 called Back Sellin Crack.
The Alabama to Nor Cal collaboration has its connecting points that gives “AC” the vibe of inevitable. We are already tremendous fans of Cohesive, Island, 808s & Dark Grapes II and Chandelier, so the prospect of bridging the neighborhoods is only going to up the ante on the impressive caliber of music presented thus far. “AC” pulls the Oaklanders into the Hunstville world, as the production is more akin to Southernplayalistic sounds than the cloud 9 Bay vibes, but the adjustment inspires Mondre smooth out the style for the Cadillac cruisers.
