Wait to Pleasure, the second full-length record from Canadian shoegazers No Joy, is set to release on April 23, and with it comes a single that swells and simmers like the blowing up and release of a balloon. A typical update for a second-album return, the band feels more refined, more together, and in some big ways, more savvy of what sound they're even trying to create. A deliberately louder shimmer comes from this No Joy track, “Hare Tarot Lies”, and with a gauzey filtered feel, it could play on and on into oblivion and it would feel like the sun was slightly glinting in the corner of our eyes.
The new song can be heard here, and Wait to Pleasure can be ordered via Mexican Summer at this link. The No Joy women are on their US tour; catch their dates at this link.
