Snacs, “Art Shadow”

Snacs' brand of lounge-lizard style beat production is a welcome change from the norm—while a slew of other online semi-anonymous producers narrow their vision to what sounds familiar, Snacs ably creates a new brand of underwater electronic pop. On a new track, which follows up his debut Swim Tape EP, Snacs is in his element, which is to say that the listener is now out of theirs. “Art Shadow” is a tonally vibrant track, utilizing a subdued harp melody to back chopped up vocals in the vein of James Blake's “CMYK”. The perfect hump day track, “Art Shadow” encourages chilling out and cruising, maybe through an aquarium or at least a night in at the planetarium.
