DJ George Costanza, half of pop-noise crunkmetal project Extreme Animals, just gifted the internet with a mix that might not be the mix we thought we wanted but is definitely the mix we deserve. Dubbed “#cringecore,” the mix takes choice megahits from the sensitive mediocre altbro canon that so deeply saturated the radio and our regrettable mix CD-R’s in the 90’s/early 00’s, and reanimates them with trap, dubstep, jersey club, and plenty of airhorns. It’s a beautifully grotesque pop culture dumpster, and a pretty exact representation of what it feels like to fall into a deep YouTube hole in 2k15.
