Woodsman recently emailed to let us know you can now stream their first two records, recorded in 2008 and 2009, on their Soundcloud. The records, Humdrum and Indoor Days, are much slower and more chilled out than their more recent work, which makes sense if you think about a Denver, Colorado mindset – cold, snowy, almost-legal weed – versus a New York one. The band agrees: “[Indoor Days] just fell out of us, without any pre-concieved ideas the sound flowed from our instruments and what we needed to feel at that exact moment went to tape. Being locked inside on snowy Colorado days has this effect.”
Woodsman are currently recording their first proper studio album, as well as going on tour. You can download these records on iTunes or buy a cassette box set from them directly when you see them on the tour (we advocate for the latter option). The dates are below the stream.
