All the sleepy beats and soft vocals you can handle are packed gently into this new When Saints Go Machine track, “Iodine”, and yet, when you come to its end, it doesn't feel like enough. In the newest release from the Danish electro-pop quartet, there is a quiet, sweet quality surrounding the song that is as lush as it is troubled, and that escalates as quickly as it falls. Off of their upcoming record, Infinity Pool, you can feel the decadence in its glamour, and its a pained, haunted look at what an infinity pool in some ways represents. It's endless and classic, over-the-top and floundering, full and spilling over the edges.
Infinity Pool releases on May 28 through !K7 Records at the link.
