The instrumental Denver pysch-rock outfit Woodsman is back and set to release their self-titled 3rd LP. Debuting first from the 9-song set is a tripped out soundtrack to a chase-scene entitled “Healthy Life.” A slinking reversed bass lick begins the song and continues throughout to drive the song along as a frantic pulsating drum groove holds down the template for oscillating guitars and ambient synth tones to float above. The band’s patient and purposeful song structuring gives reason to believe that the album will be full of similar auditory pleasantries.
Woodsman’s self-titled LP is out February 4 via Fire Talk.
