You think Chicago-based Baby Teeth would be satisfied with their upcoming Lujo release, The Simp, but apparently not. The band has just announced the unveiling of a web-only EP full of songs that are covers of fellow Chicago-based artists (although, “fellow” is being used a bit loosely here). We Live Here is the name of the EP (we here at Impose wonder if this is another possible tribute to Chicago music, taking it from the Screeching Weasel song “Nightbreed”?) and it came about as a way for the band to pay tribute to their hometown. The band covers Joanna Newsom, Liz Phair, and Curtis Mayfield, they even sneak in a couple of collaborations with Bobby Conn and Kelly Hogan. A respectable achievement that represents the rich history of Chicago as much as is possible in 4 songs. Click below to hear the EP in it's entirety:
