Los Angeles-based songwriter Itasca is preparing to for a full U.S. tour with the multi-instrumentalist/poet act Oath from Las Vegas. The tour will begin in California before ending up in New York, with stops in Texas and Chicago along the way. This will be the first tour for Kayla Cohen a.k.a. Itasca since the success of her debut EP, Unmoored By the Wind, released by New Image Ltd. back in October. (In case you missed it, Cohen wrote about her perspective on the LA music scene for Impose last fall too.) Itasca’s upcoming instrumental guitar tape titled Ann’s Tradition is set for a May 2015 release. Tour dates are all listed below; stops include shows with Valet, Ilyas Ahmed, Daniel Bachman, Sarah Louise, Amps for Christ, Little Wings, Ignatz, Trummors, Mike Shiflet, Bitchin Bajas, and others.
