Mykki Blanco and Dogfood Music Group Share Violent C-ORE Preview Video

Mykki Blanco, C-ORE

We’ve already heard the news of Mykki Blanco’s upcoming C-ORE compilation, highlighting artists on the rapper’s new label, Dogfood Music Group. With contributions from Blanco, Yves Tumor, Psychoegyptian, and Violence, it was safe to expect C-ORE to be noisy and bleak, and the album’s 11-minute preview video now confirms that assumption.

Described as a descent into “a maze of nightmarish parallel realities,” the Jude MC-directed video features the record’s four artists in dark, abstract scenes of frenetic violence, accompanied by similarly harsh noise music. The preview’s soundtrack features excerpts from the album, all of which are haunting and abrasive, hinting at C-ORE’s foreboding atmosphere. Stream the preview below.

C-ORE is out September 18.
