Hermit Thrushes, “Snowflake Heart”

At this year's South by Southwest, I caught what looked like a merry band of Technicolor Dreamcoat understudies plowing through some whimsical, ADD-fueled turns of rock phrasing, and it was groovy. On the ride back from Austin with Fiasco, we jammed the song posted below more than a couple times. Turn back the clock to October 2008, and my dear friend Camille at the Voice bemused if not slightly horrified with a dude trying to get a blog post out of her, his pants around his ankles and Matt (the naked one) watching with pitying eyes a few feet off. Well, he got that blog post, and here is ours. Dude was of the spazzy Philly band Hermit Thrushes, whose album Slight Fountain is out June 23 on Joyful Noise.
