Our overwhelmed friends in Japan get some help

The Miller Theatre at Columbia University in New York City has announced an illustrious line-up for their Japan benefit concert that includes Sonic Youth, Yoko Ono, Sean Lennon, Mike Patton, Cibo Matto with Mephista, Marc Ribot, and Uri Caine & Zorn’s Aleph Trio.

Organized and hosted by John Zorn, all of the profits from this one-night event next Sunday, March 27, will go directly to the Japan Society's Earthquake Relief Fund. I would suggest you go buy a $100 ticket from their website but it sold out in less than two days. For a shrunken economy, that's a lot of love.
