MUNA, Mannequin Pussy, Brittany Howard & more close out a euphoric weekend at Chicago’s Union Park

An amazing Sunday of live music at Chicago’s Union Park brought Pitchfork Festival 2024 to a close, with performances from the likes of MUNA, Brittany Howard, Mannequin Pussy, Jessica Pratt, and Hailu Mergia.

Mergia, the 78-year-old Ethiopian keyboardist, accordionist, and composer, set the tone with his lush jazz and funk soundscapes, a treat for fans who made it out to the Red Stage in the afternoon. Later, Los Angeles musician Jessica Pratt brought her intimate indie and folk singer-songwriter vibes to the Green Stage, performing tracks off her amazing new album Here in the Pitch.

Indie punk band Mannequin Pussy stole the show with their ferocious set on the Blue Stage, balancing beautiful melody with chaotic dissonance. Their performance of tracks off recent album I Got Heaven was downright captivating.

Later, Brittany Howard mesmerized the huge crowd in attendance with one magical track after another off What Now, keeping the energy at a high before handing things off to headliner Alanis Morissette.

Dive in below for highlights from a euphoric final day at Pitchfork 2024.
