The New Project is a Melancholy, Electronica Production
London electronica duo Anaphase return with a sultry, empowered new single on their brand new IAMHER imprint. Released alongside two serene melodic house remixes, it’s an exquisite package from a talented new artist project.
Meeting after sharing a studio building in London together, the duo decided to work together after hearing each others work through neighbouring walls.
Their first three releases came out on DJ/Producer John Monkaman’s Beesemyer label with debut single, ‘Disconnect’ reaching #1 on three separate Beatport charts and the follow up ‘Cortex’ EP being remixed by TheoKottis and receiving extremely positive reviews from tastemakers.
The new project, comes under their own brand new label umbrella. It’s a track that flits between electronica and indie with a soothing vocal and haunting orchestral elements.
“The lyrics are about corruption in the world, the amount of times we’ve been lied to by people in power. It’s also about what that does to you on a personal level. How we can become tainted and twisted by people around us in our lives, if we’re not careful. It’s also about the pressure to conform.”
